Getting side tracked from starting seeds.

It is goose season and I didn't get to go duck hunting to much so I thought I better get in on some geese before they were gone.  That got me a little bit behind on my seed starting but I did manage to get some seeds started indoors I'll get my list together and will post some pictures and some of the things I do to prevent damping off and to get hard to start pepper seeds to germinate.  It was worth it though my son got a banded bird which was really cool for him but I think hubby and me might be leaving him home next time so he will quit getting our bands the kid has good luck  he hasn't went one season since he started hunting with out getting a banded bird.  The North America Bird Banding Program is a very useful program that helps to better understand the migration, the life span, the survival rate, and population growth to name just a few things that the banding data helps with.  They even band hummingbirds...... I know that sounds crazy.
We had 200 birds last weekend and now we have around 160lbs of  bratwurst, summer sausage, Italian sausage, hot links, and a whole lot of goose down.
Here is the link to North American Bird Banding Program it has some pretty cool information.

  2. EG, The sausage making is pretty much all hubby it is an art form with him and he is very picky how it is done so I just go dig in the dirt and he takes over the kitchen. I have to admit it is some of the best sausage I have had so he doesn't get any complaining from me.
