I did make a couple of things for my sewing room with some graphics from The Graphics Fairy.
The wall art is a canvas that I layered with pages from an old phone book and Gesso (Gesso helps the paint from soaking into the support) and then printed off the graphics on tissue paper using the “fast draft” setting on my printer so the ink wouldn’t be heavy on the tissue paper and bleed, then I mod podged them to the canvas. I painted around the dress forms then and added some flowers that I made from an old sweater.
I wish I would have taken a picture of the lamp shade before because it was uuuglyyyyy. I did the same thing with the lamp shade as I did with the canvas using the phone book pages and Gesso (I liked the texture that the pages and Gesso gave the lamp shade). I printed the graphics out on tissue paper on the “fast draft” setting on my printer and mod podged the graphics on to the lampshade and glued black ribbon to the top and bottom of the shade.
I just got the call we will be out of school tomorrow so wish me luck with the laundry gods.
